An exciting and rare opportunity has arisen to work in a dynamic, fast-growing beauty business as Regulatory Manager for our US market, you will be the Responsible Person for our portfolio of cosmetic & OTC cosmetic products on sale in America and Canada.
This is a high-profile regulatory role, which involves collaboration with our central teams based in the United Kingdom; as well as a vast array of external and internal stakeholders in global regions.
About the opportunity
The Regulatory Manager in the US is responsible for all aspects of product regulatory compliance for our brands sold regionally, this includes formulation & claims compliance, artwork, and advertising approvals.
The Regulatory Manager for the US region is responsible for defining and implementing the necessary local processes whilst ensuring connectivity into central global teams and processes.
In addition, The Regulatory Manager will engage with local industry associations to collect regulatory intelligence and communicate relevant local market changes (proposed and enacted) to the global team. They are the defined contact person for regulatory bodies in the US and are responsible for defending regulatory challenges for our brands. on sale in these markets.
The Regulatory Manager is responsible for implementing a local horizon scanning process to capture relevant regulatory changes in the USA and Canada markets. They lead the business regulatory change impact analysis for the USA and Canada markets.
This role spans across a wide network of stakeholders including; Quality, Claims, Product Development, Brand, Supply Chain, and Legal, in the UK & Asia.
About you
· Bachelor’s degree in science or equivalent.
· Deep understanding of claims review and approval and regulatory compliance for personal care products in the US and Canada that comes from at least 3 years of experience in a regulatory or claims position. (Level dependent upon experience).
· Great communication skills; coupled with the ability to influence and develop positive stakeholder relationships.
· Have a proactive, can-do attitude to be resolution-driven.
· Working knowledge of standard office programs (Excel, Word, etc.).
· Excellent analytic and writing skills.
