A leading industrial organization is looking to appoint a Regional Safety Manager to lead their eastern US EHS program. The Regional Safety Manager will be tasked with influencing a healthy safety culture, requiring the ability to engage key stakeholders at various levels of the business. Reporting to the EHS Director, the Regional Manager will hold a highly visible role within the organization and is responsible for overseeing organizational compliance with local, state and federal EH&S regulations across 6 facilities. Candidates must be able to travel 40% of the time.
The Role:
- Developing, strategizing and implementing a long-term plan for the EHS function
- Driving a culture of "Safety First" across the business to reduce injuries and accidents
- Promoting continuous improvement efforts in the EHS function, integrating tactical and strategic EHS planning
- Develop and lead a team of 5 site-based safety professionals
The Candidate:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, IH, Environmental Science, or a related technical field preferred
- Must have 7+ years’ EHS leadership experience within a heavy industrial environment
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly throughout all levels of an organization
- High energy, drive and persistence required
