I. WORK TO BE PERFORMED:
Support the Creation and delivery of Cloud Governance Practice (Charter, Procedures, FinOps decision and accountability structure, Roles/Responsibilities, RACI with deliverables)
Lead, develop, and execute the processes and capabilities required to ensure AWS costs optimization.
Develop and implement cloud architecture models based on AWS Well Architected Framework.
Track and report KPIs and trend analysis relating to AWS cloud consumption, capacity management, and chargeback.
Transform the raw costing data into meaningful data-driven design decisions on AWS.
Design and develop data-driven analytics and executive reporting to enable cross-functional conversations at OCC about cloud architecture and relevant challenges.
Observe meaningful trends in data sets, perform analysis to help translate raw data into actionable recommendations including, but not limited to, automation, shared costs, and forecasting.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, Security, Compliance, and Legal, to develop and make recommendations for the implementation of cloud governance strategies.
II. SKILL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Certifications of AWS Solutions Architect Associate (Required), AWS Solutions Architect Professional (Preferred)
Experience with public cloud architecture, cloud strategy, networking, security, compliance workload types, migration patterns and tools
At least 5 years’ experience in AWS public cloud.
Strong understanding of AWS Well Architected Framework that helps drive architectural and business decisions.
Ability to investigate data to explain outliers, anomalies, and optimizations to rationalize the cloud spend.
Experience in cloud design optimizations including rightsizing, reserving instances, and automated tagging.
Skilled communicator who can easily understand and translate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
