CBTS has partnered with a client in the Atlanta, GA area to identify a Linux Engineer on a 6 month contract to hire opening. This role will require a HYBRID schedule of 2-3 days/wk ONSITE at the client's location.
Job Description:
Must Have skills: Red Hat Linux
Good to have Skills: Shell scripting, Ansible , Chef, Puppet , Redhat Satellite, Solaris, HP-UX
Roles & responsibilities:
- 4+ years of Linux experience.
- Full life cycle management of Linux Systems Infrastructure
- Perform regular system maintenance tasks such as patching, OS upgrades and complex troubleshooting tasks
- Good Knowledge of SAN boot, Kickstart methodologies & procedures.
- Administer and manage Linux systems in physical, virtual and cloud environments.
- Hands-on experience with Satellite, Capsule, and Red Hat Portal for patch management.
- Linux installation adn configuration experience through various available mechanism.
- Linux Kernel and OS patching through manual, Satellite and Spacewalk.
- Linux system hardening and security vulnerabilitie management.
- Pacemaker configuration and issues troubleshooting.
- Linux cluster technologies administrative & installation experience.
- Workeing experience on Solaris operating systems.
- HP-UX systems upgrades,migrations and new implementations.
- Shell scripting knowledge for contributing in automating routine an dcomplex jobs.
- Perform advanced performance tuning and bottleneck analysis.
- Drive diagnosing and resolving complex system issues and outages.
- Ensure the delivery of services according to SLAs and KPIs.
