DESCRIPTION
The Senior Account Executive role is responsible for the day-to-day management of multiple client accounts or may manage properties as part of a multiple-property gaming account. As the primary contact for the client, this person should be an active listener, partner and brand steward on a daily basis. This position is located in Reno, NV and reports to the Account Director.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Point-person for senior-level client contacts
- Oversee daily client management
- Can shepherd a project from initial inquiry through to scope development, strategy and delivery
- Build and nurture a strong client relationship
- Maintain a positive relationship between the agency and client.
- Provide leadership within the agency on behalf of the client
- Gather information on clients, products and competitive set necessary for agency education and start-up meetings
- Identify and understand trends within client markets and industries
- Creative brief development for all major client initiatives and campaigns
- Oversee the review and approval of creative concepts to determine whether they meet the creative brief, strategic goals and marketing plan of the client
- Proactively contribute ideas and input on client projects including providing client research and industry-specific information
- Quickly and accurately convey client changes and feedback across various departments as necessary
- Solves client issues independently
- Provide clients with budgets and estimate updates
- Generate financial forecasts for client portfolio on a regular basis
- Manage monthly client billing for each account assigned
- Seek to build additional business opportunities with the client
- Keep supervisor informed of key initiatives and/or account concerns
- Travel to the client’s location(s) as needed
- May supervise account service team members as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
THE BASICS:
- Excellent communication/presentation skills and ability to build relationships
- Organizational and time-management skills
- Must have 5-7 years of experience within an advertising agency or comparable industry
- Must have strong interpersonal skills
- Experience with integrated marketing campaigns, including direct mail, SEM, applications, social media, website development, email distribution, and promotions
- Bachelor’s degree in advertising or marketing is preferred though equivalent experience is acceptable
- Outstanding client service and relationship building skills
- Strong willingness to learn and roll up sleeves in a fast pace environment
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Knowledge in Keynote and Adobe InDesign a plus
- Prior experience working in a project management software solution preferred
