Job Title: Business Development Manager
Location: New York, NY, OR Atlanta, GA

Reports to: Vice President, Global Product Development
Salary Range: $70,000 - $120,000 (depending on location and experience)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Remote Status: Hybrid – Must be able to commute to the office once or twice a week for sales meetings
Scope:
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth by developing local and regional accounts in the assigned region. The successful candidate will be evaluated on the following key performance indicators:
- Sales Pipeline (Initial stage, quotation stage, close and win stage)
- Gross Profit achievements
- Accounts Receivable (ensuring funds for services are collected)
This role offers a lucrative commission program for those looking to make significant contributions to the business. We are specifically seeking candidates with transatlantic sales experience in the ATL/NYC market.
Responsibilities:
- Prospect new clients within the region to identify and address their supply chain needs.
- Stay informed on industry trends in Trade, Regulatory, and Market Intelligence, and communicate these insights to customers.
- Contribute to building the customer acquisition team in the region.
- Work closely with customer service and account management teams to implement new accounts.
- Utilize company technology such as DWMS, CRM, and other tools to track progress.
- Maintain a strong commitment to the company’s values and business code of ethics.
- Demonstrate the value of the company’s offerings to prospective clients.
- Learn and promote the strengths of the company’s services in the region, including Global Freight (GF), cross-border solutions, Ecommerce, Final Mile, Transportation, Warehousing, and Fulfillment.
- Serve as a brand ambassador for the company in the region.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of direct sales experience, working with decision-makers in the Americas.
- 5+ years of experience in the logistics or freight industry is preferred.
- Strong communication skills in English (verbal and written); a secondary language is preferred.
- TMS/logistics technology experience is preferred.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse cultures and personalities.
- Self-motivated, competitive, and well-organized, with strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and solve problems independently.
- Proficient in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
