Tyndale's marketing department is actively seeking a Marketing Specialist to join our Content Marketing team! The Marketing Specialist is an independent self-starter that thrives in a fast-paced environment, works well under pressure, and effectively prioritizes work in a setting that’s demanding and respectful. The Marketing Specialist has responsibility for all aspects of writing for corporate communications. First and foremost, this includes managing complete, accurate and timely responses to content marketing related requests from prospective clients and existing customers. The Specialist collaborates closely with members of sales, finance, legal, operations, supply, and other member of the marketing team on a day-to-day basis to manage preparation of RFP responses. This individual plays a critical role in retaining and winning new business at Tyndale. In addition, the Marketing Specialist works closely with the pricing, content, and digital groups within the marketing department to complete projects that have a strong return on investment (ROI).
HYBRID/REMOTE: Tyndale supports a strong work-life balance. This opportunity requires onsite work a minimum of 1 day per week, and 4 days per week remotely. To be considered, candidates must reside within a commutable distance from our Tyndale headquarters in Pipersville, PA (Bucks County) or our location in Houston, TX.
Responsibilities:
Ensures high quality, accurate and timely responses to RFPs, requests for information (RFI), and requests for quote (RFQ) from customers and prospects. Proposals are submitted to Fortune 1000 companies, and state and local governments.
- Possesses excellent writing and editing skills, strong attention to detail and organizational skills necessary for the management of multiple documents, projects, and the coordination and assembly of response documentation.
- Collaborates closely with the digital and events marketing team to provide clear and concise content as-needed on various websites, in online advertising, email campaigns, and other incidental areas.
- Ensures a steady stream of relevant and timely content is available for publication on Tyndale’s blog, newsletters, internal communication platforms, in PowerPoint (.ppt) slides, and email marketing.
- Participates in blog and email content brainstorming, creation, and calendar assignments, coordinating video content with online team as needed.
- Efficiently creates stock and ad-hoc emails as needed.
- Regularly updates key content available to the content team on the internal drive and on digital asset management platforms to support RFP responses and proposals.
- Responds to sales team requests for proposals, customized content, and ad-hoc requests, frequently requiring quick turnaround.
- Supports web content development for all Tyndale sites: TyndaleUSA.com, TyndaleFRC.TyndaleUSA.com, Express.TyndaleUSA.com, Shop.TyndaleUSA.com.
- Constantly seeks opportunities to improve, innovate, and contribute to strong ROI.
- Collaborates effectively with all levels of management, both internally and externally.
- Ensures that brand positioning and messaging is consistent across channels.
- Utilizes artificial intelligence (AI) responsibly to draft, proof, and brainstorm content.
The Marketing Specialist will have the opportunity to help hone Tyndale’s online marketing strategy, which will include some elements of the following:
- Email Marketing Campaigns. Creating and implementing campaign strategies, and newsletters that are consistent with Tyndale’s drive to expand brand awareness and increase sales.
- Blog Posts. Creating and editing blog posts on product, service, and educational technical topics in support of our customers and prospects.
- Ad-hoc Customer emails. Supporting the sales team through creation and distribution of company-specific emails designed to drive engagement and boost sales.
- PPC Ads. Creating concise, relevant, and engaging content for pay-per-click ads.
- Web Content. Creating creative, concise, and engaging content for various website platforms with a focus on search engine optimization.
- Key Initiatives. Prioritizing projects that support key company initiatives while balancing daily responsibilities.
Qualifications
- BA/BS degree in marketing, communications, professional writing, or other business-related field required
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in general corporate marketing. Agency experience considered.
- Stellar writing skills are a key requirement of this position. Accurate grammar and spelling are particularly important.
- Experience with short-form copy writing required.
- Experience reviewing and responding to RFPs for large companies preferred.
- Experience utilizing AI in a responsible, hands-on manner is crucial. Content generated using AI should be limited and modified by the Marketing Specialist to mirror the company’s voice, core values, and strategic initiatives and follow company guidelines.
- Previous data and analysis reporting experience.
