LHH is partnering with a client in the technology sector to find a skilled Systems and Network Engineer. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining the hybrid IT infrastructure. You will work closely with external service providers to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget, while adhering to system standards across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Hardware Management:
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware, including Windows and Mac devices, networking equipment, storage devices, A/V conferencing systems, video surveillance systems, and VoIP phone systems.
Software Management:
- Install, configure, and maintain server operating systems, Linux administration, identity and SSO provider solutions, virtualization, remote access, email systems, SAN, backup and data management, monitoring tools, MDM, and web servers.
Network Security:
- Provide strategic planning for network security and maintain the security of external websites.
Backup & Disaster Recovery:
- Manage server backups, restores, mobile device management, and cloud disaster recovery.
Documentation & Support:
- Maintain support and architecture documentation and serve as tier 2 support for help desk technicians.
IT Initiatives:
- Help manage IT initiatives and provide 24/7 on-call support to the IT Director.
Mentorship:
- Work with the IT Director to mentor junior IT helpdesk staff.
Travel:
- Travel to various locations, primarily in Los Angeles, as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or a related IT field.
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in systems and network maintenance.
- Working knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, WINS, WSUS, cloud compute environments, Microsoft Office Suite, Office 365, and Exchange 365.
- Excellent communication skills and strong project management abilities.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Possession of or working towards a networking certification
- Equivalent blend of education and experience is acceptable.
Working Conditions:
- This position is primarily office-based with some site visits and may require lifting up to 25 pounds.
- Must be able to perform multiple tasks concurrently and interact with various stakeholders, including those who may be dissatisfied or demanding.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary starts at $115,000, with opportunities for growth based on experience and performance.
