Boutique creditors’ rights firm seeks associate with 2+ years’ experience. A background in creditors’ rights law, particularly collections and/or bankruptcy law, preferred.

Position Overview: The primary responsibility of the Associate Attorney will be to provide support to firm’s collection practice with additional responsibilities in real estate and bankruptcy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in court proceedings, advocating effectively in collections, replevins, and bankruptcy cases.
- Draft and prepare essential legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests, with precision and efficiency.
- Conduct thorough legal research efficiently and prepare memoranda to inform case strategies.
- Collaborate closely with paralegals and support staff to ensure timely management of case files and deadlines.
- Communicate proactively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel to foster strong working relationships.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the State Bar of Georgia and in good standing.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in collections, litigation, or a related field, with a strong preference for candidates with direct collections and research experience.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in both independent and collaborative work settings.
- Familiarity with Westlaw and JST/CollectMax case management system is a plus.
