Job Title: Trademark Paralegal
Location: Hybrid - Downtown Los Angeles, CA (3 days onsite per week)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Trademark Paralegal to join our legal team in a hybrid role. The successful candidate will support attorneys in all aspects of trademark prosecution, maintenance, and enforcement. This role requires the ability to work independently and handle a high volume of cases while being adaptable to a hybrid schedule, with three days a week onsite in Downtown Los Angeles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys with domestic and international trademark prosecution and portfolio management.
- Prepare and file trademark applications, oppositions, extensions, renewals, and maintenance documents with the USPTO and foreign agencies.
- Conduct trademark searches and clearances, including analysis of search reports.
- Monitor and manage deadlines for trademark applications, registrations, and oppositions.
- Coordinate with external counsel on trademark matters, both domestic and international.
- Prepare documents for trademark enforcement, such as cease and desist letters, and handle infringement matters.
- Maintain and update trademark databases and docketing systems.
- Conduct research and provide updates on trademark laws and industry regulations.
- Assist in preparing reports and summaries for clients or internal stakeholders.
- Handle other IP-related matters as required.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of trademark paralegal experience in a law firm or corporate legal department.
- Proficiency in USPTO procedures and trademark docketing software.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and tasks.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Familiarity with foreign trademark filing systems is a plus.
Work Environment:
This is a hybrid role, with the expectation of working onsite in Downtown Los Angeles for 3 days each week. The remaining days can be worked remotely.
