Medical apparel manufacturer and distributor in Sherman Oaks is seeking an outstanding programmer to add to our existing team of developers. This position requires an individual who is a self-starter, has the ability to learn quickly, and has impeccable programming skills in a Microsoft environment. Candidates must have demonstrated the ability to productively carry out multiple projects on a daily basis, a demonstrated ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical employees.
Central Responsibilities:
- Create, develop, monitor and maintain internal applications
- Proven experience in customer service role in a fast-paced environment
- Support users, troubleshoot issues and resolve problems in the shortest time frame.
- Provide information management support for a wide range departments
- Debug and fix software issues reported by users
- Write clean and efficient well documented code using C# and .net technologies
- Carry out additional technical projects as determined by management
- Upgrade and rewrite old applications applying new technologies
Required Skills:
- 2+ years of programming experience.
- Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server Databases
- Ability to write, read and modify SQL queries and stored procedures
- Proficient in working with C#/VB.NET. VB6 is a plus
- .NET Framework to .NET Core
- Web
- JavaScript
- REST / Web API
- Familiar with Bitbucket or other version control
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies, design patterns, and best practices
