Our international client is currently searching for a Photonics Foundry Engineer to work closely with the foundry partners in Southern California and Japan. The Photonics Foundry Engineer will be the key technical interface between the chip design team, the manufacturing test team and the foundry. Understanding any risks in the process development and working with the foundries and design teams to mitigate any problems will be required, as well as understanding foundry PCM capability and coordinating any failure analysis required.
Required skills for the Photonics Foundry Engineer will include:
- Strong knowledge of foundry processes including thin and thick file deposition methods and etch methods.
- Knowledge of III-V to silicon integration methods and processes, including wet and dry etch of Si, Ge and III-V
- Experience of yield analysis and process failure analysis
- Excellent communication skills
- Degree qualified
