Position Overview:
Our client is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the accounting and financial operations of the company. The CFO will be responsible for stabilizing and improving financial processes, including managing AR/AP, P&Ls and ensuring accurate financial reporting across multiple business units. This is a pivotal role that requires a deep understanding of the manufacturing industry, as well as strong leadership to guide the accounting team.
The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the EVP, Controller, and other key stakeholders to drive improvements in accounting processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Ensure accurate P&L reporting across multiple business units, providing clear financial insights.
- Develop financial strategies and improve overall financial health.
- Collaborate with the Controller and General Counsel to maintain financial oversight of acquisitions and business operations.
- Lead the preparation and due diligence for future M&A activities.
- Evaluate and optimize current systems and processes
Qualifications:
- Experience: 10+ years of financial leadership experience, ideally within the manufacturing industry. Experience managing complex financial environments with multiple business units is essential
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. An MBA or advanced financial qualification is a plus
- Systems: Proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics F&O is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of AR/AP processes and cash flow management
- Experience with multi-unit P&L reporting and financial forecasting
- M&A experience, particularly in supporting the financial aspects of acquisitions and integration
- Excellent leadership skills
