The Sales Representative (Architectural and Design) position is primarily responsible for selling high quality ceramic and porcelain tile to the multi-family residential, hospitality, retail, educational, government, corporate, healthcare and rest of commercial construction segments with focus on larger (in excess of 10,000 sqf) projects.
The sales process includes specification of product to project designs, mostly through A&D and follow up to ensure products are delivered and invoiced to final purchasing customer, usually tile or flooring contractors.
The sales process requires cooperation with designated customer service, logistics, marketing, and other departments that may be involved in the process, working to communicate and coordinate the information of all parties involved for a successful delivery.
The Sales Representative reports to the Area Sales Manager and functionally to the A&D National Sales Manager.
Position overview:
Open new A&D accounts and maintain existing accounts in the territory. Greater Houston Area and some accounts in Dallas, TX.
Visit architects, designers, contractors and developers, make presentations to specify Roca Tile products.
Deliver samples and other presentation materials. Produce specific materials for presentations if needed.
The candidate will work remotely and/or from the local office and will have to visit approximately 20 accounts weekly.
Follow up on new leads and referrals.
Detailed use of CRM tool, including entering visit report after each sales call and keeping up contacts information up to date.
Manage customer relationships by resolving client concerns, ensuring customers are set up in system, provide presentations, marketing materials, samples, price quotes and schedule weekly visits.
Collaborate with staff across the organization to accomplish goals.
Some travel (once or twice a month) is required to visit other accounts outside Houston area .
Travel and attend trade shows.
Qualifications:
At least three years of experience in sales. Experience in Architect & Design Sales, porcelain and ceramic experience preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in business or design related preferred.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
