Join a leading healthcare system in Atlanta as an experienced Epic Analyst and make a significant impact in the design, build, testing, validation, maintenance, and ongoing support of Clinical or Revenue Cycle Applications.
This role requires a collaborative professional who excels in working across various teams and is dedicated to building and maintaining strong relationships with clinical and financial departments, Epic partners, and other stakeholders utilizing the Epic application suite.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, implementation, and ongoing support for Clinical or Revenue Cycle Applications within the Epic system.
- Mentor and guide fellow analysts on best practices, methodologies, and processes.
- Serve as a trusted partner to service lines, departments, and coworkers, while developing deep expertise in system capabilities and applications to provide training and support to users.
- Actively participate in meetings with department heads and superusers to document and prioritize needs.
- Conduct regular rounds with departments to strengthen relationships and ensure efficient communication.
- Provide technical consulting and support services, managing the delivery of solutions with guidance from management.
- Offer Epic software support, including troubleshooting, optimization, upgrades, and file maintenance.
- Manage and document programming requests, upgrades, and special project implementations.
- Maintain strong relationships with Epic and other application vendors.
- Assist with Epic Security management, including security templates and maintenance when necessary.
- Provide on-call support as scheduled and assist with queue management to ensure timely response and resolution.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory guidelines, including EHC IS, Joint Commission, and HIPAA policies.
- Follow established change management protocols and provide thorough documentation of support efforts.
- Stay up-to-date with new Epic version certifications and training as applicable.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Experience:
- 5+ years of progressive experience in clinical, business, or healthcare operations, OR
- 7+ years of experience without a degree.
Certification:
- Epic Inpatient Orders Certification is required.
