We are seeking a dedicated Desktop Support Technician to join our IT team in the technology sector. The ideal candidate will excel in providing technical support to our Client's staff, ensuring smooth operation of hardware and software, and maintaining their commitment to IT security best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
User Support:
- Answer, evaluate, prioritize, and escalate support requests related to hardware, software, and networking issues.
- Monitor helpdesk tickets and respond promptly to user issues.
- Provide initial troubleshooting and escalate unresolved issues to higher-level support.
IT Security:
- Implement and enforce security protocols and policies.
- Monitor systems for security breaches and educate staff on security best practices.
Hardware & Software Management:
- Set up, configure, and troubleshoot new hardware (computers, mobile devices).
- Install and configure software applications across various platforms.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of hardware and software assets.
A/V & Conferencing Support:
- Set up and support audio-visual equipment for meetings and provide technical support for web conferencing tools.
- Train users on digital whiteboards and presentation systems.
Remote Support:
- Utilize remote support tools to assist offsite employees and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
Procurement & Inventory Management:
- Assist with hardware and software procurement, coordinating with vendors and managing orders.
- Track software licenses and ensure compliance.
Project Assistance:
- Assist the Director of IT & Facilities with advanced projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in computer science preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in customer service or IT support environments.
- Intermediate knowledge of productivity software (e.g., Microsoft Office suite) in a mixed-platform environment (Mac/PC).
- Strong customer service skills, self-motivated, and reliable with a solid sense of follow-through.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary range: $33.85 - $38.30 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
