The Position
Responsible for developing procedures and methods to manufacture new or existing product lines in the most effective manner by performing the following duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Improves manufacturing processes and methods for cost-reduction, quality improvement and efficiency by evaluating equipment/system/process needs and options
- Develops and maintains routings, material lists, manpower requirements, machine/equipment requirements, skill levels and tooling required to manufacture a new or redesigned product.
- Provides continuous engineering support to Production Departments by developing and implementing fixtures, standards, and procedure manuals.
- Spearheads problem-solving and quality improvement initiatives
- Plans, coordinates and implements production based on project improvements
- Periodically reviews plant layout and recommends changes to increase productivity and efficiency based on current and future manufacturing requirements.
- Investigates and recommends solutions for production and product related quality, manufacturing or process issues
- Designs and fabricates all production tooling.
- Assists in developing cost estimates to manufacture a new or redesigned product.
- Works with Production to help create Decorating Guidelines for products
- Conceptualizes new machinery, equipment, fixtures and tooling to make the manufacturing process more effective and works with vendors to develop new or unique equipment.
- Instructs appropriate persons in Production on decorating new items and the use of new and non-standard fixtures as well as refining the design of new fixtures
- Organizes and maintains the Fixture Database and Library for all Production departments
- Monitors continuously the operations to ensure that employees adhere to safe work practices.
- Ensures that no hazards exist in the workplace
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
- BS in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering or like Discipline
- 3-5 years of manufacturing experience.
- Experience in machine and process automation design.
