POSITION OVERVIEW
The organization is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to play a crucial role in a Data Platform implementation. This platform will serve as a key operational and reporting interface for regional health boards, housing workflows such as inspections and permitting, and collecting pertinent data for reporting and analysis. The platform represents a major transformation in how information flows between state and municipal governments.
This role involves understanding the business case and outcomes, approving and validating vendor-built solutions, building key infrastructure, and participating in additional modernization initiatives. Post-implementation, the Data Office will support and maintain the reporting infrastructure.
The ideal candidate has expertise in project requirement analysis, data management, documentation, and stakeholder collaboration. They will own tasks related to cloud data platform requirements and implementation activities, establishing best practices and processes.
DETAILED LIST OF JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan and document functional, technical, and business requirements for a range of projects.
- Write documentation supporting development and end-user communities.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and refine requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Follow established PMO standards and procedures.
- Communicate milestones and timetables based on capacity and prioritization.
- Ensure timely delivery of solutions meeting requirements and expectations.
- Assist in complex data analysis and translate business needs into data solutions.
- Provide data training for end users of the platform and reports.
- Work with Architects, Developers, and Analysts to build use cases and present an overview of requirements.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with data platform requirements and cloud database platforms.
- Strong communication skills, comfortable explaining solutions to both technical stakeholders and business consumers.
- Experience working with sensitive information and familiar with data privacy controls.
- Knowledge of data warehouse and enterprise data solutions.
- Familiarity with cloud services such as Snowflake and AWS.
- Excellent SQL query skills.
- Experience with business intelligence tools such as Tableau.

- Healthcare experience.
- Strong documentation and presentation skills.
- AWS and Snowflake certifications.
