About Us:
At Waterloo Capital, we’re not just growing—we’re thriving! As a fast-growing Registered Investment Advisor (RIA), we’re passionate about helping our clients secure their long-term financial future. We provide access to a suite of top-tier investment options—from public market managed portfolios to institutional-quality alternative investments. With headquarters in the vibrant city of Austin, TX, and offices across Dallas, Houston, Bentonville, and Atlanta, we’re building something special.
The Role:
We’re on the lookout for a sharp, driven Entry-Level Analyst to join our dynamic investment team. In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of supporting our advisory services, operations, investment research, and wealth management. We’re looking for someone with a broad skill set who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a passion for finance. You’ll be a critical part of the team, contributing to projects that matter and making an impact from day one.
What You’ll Do:
- Work closely with the President and Director of Alternative Investments to support daily operations, from monitoring investments and trading to creating reports and portfolio research.
- Prepare detailed proposals outlining asset allocation recommendations and investment strategies, delivering these insights to current and prospective clients as well as internal advisors.
- Explore and evaluate new alternative investment opportunities (think private equity, private credit, real estate, and hedge funds) and develop due diligence reports.
- Dive deep into investment research for both private and public investments—your insights will help shape client portfolios and strategies.
- Split your time between operations, wealth management, and portfolio research—you’ll wear many hats and gain exposure to different facets of the investment world.
- Prepare detailed reports and performance summaries for client meetings, leveraging insights from research on both the private and public side of Waterloo
- Be the friendly, reliable point of contact for advisor or client service requests, ensuring all inquiries are handled with care.
- Collaborate with our Advisor Support team whenever needed.
About You:
You’re someone who thrives in a collaborative environment but also has the drive to work independently. You’re a problem solver with a strong eye for detail and a passion for finance and investments. Here’s what we’re looking for:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in finance or economics.
- Experience: 0-3 years (yes, we know you’re just starting, and that’s okay!).
- Skills: Strong written and verbal communication is a must—whether you're writing a memo or presenting to a client, you know how to make complex ideas easy to understand.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint) and Adobe Suite.
- A desire to pursue CAIA or CFA? Awesome! We encourage and support that growth.
- FINRA Series 65 license—or a willingness to complete the exam within 90 days of joining us.
- You’re organized, detail-oriented, and can juggle multiple projects at once. Deadline? Bring it on.
Why Waterloo?

- 401(k) with matching because we’re serious about your future.
- Flexible schedules to accommodate your life.
