Our client is a growing community bank who are restructuring their finance team and therefore seeking a highly skilled Director of Credit Loss & Stress Testing to lead and enhance their risk management functions.
This role is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and management of models for credit loss forecasting, CECL compliance, and stress testing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and refinement of credit loss models in line with CECL requirements.
- Manage stress testing processes, including scenario development and execution to assess potential impacts on the bank’s portfolio.
- Forecast expected credit losses across diverse loan portfolios, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with senior management, auditors, and regulatory bodies to ensure transparency and compliance.
- Provide strategic insights to support decision-making and enhance risk management capabilities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- 7+ years of experience in credit loss modeling, CECL implementation, and stress testing within a financial institution.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in risk management, forecasting, and regulatory reporting.
- Proficiency in statistical modeling tools and risk management software.
- CPA is highly desirable.
