Job Purpose
The Ad Planner oversees ad coordination and pricing between customer retail ad groups and Harvest Sherwood to ensure that businesses are charged a fair price for our products or services, allowing the companies to maximize their profits.
Key Responsibilities
The Ad Planner will be assigned duties, based on organizational needs and priorities.
- Conduct weekly ad meetings with buyers by groups for out front pre-planning, including all promotions (Print ads, Meat Bonanzas, Hog Wild Sales, Seafood sales etc.)
- Carry out the ad preparation process for customers’ Meat, Deli and Bakery departments including receive, coordinating pricing bids with buyers, returning to customers’ ad groups for acceptance, and returning quantities to buyers and sales for orders in advance
- Collect and format all collected vendor deals by quarter and forward to appropriate customers by departments
- Complete weekly pricing format updates for all required retail ad groups
- Complete WBX price book UPC and SKU monthly updates on new items, deleted items and prices
- Host weekly Insight2Profit meetings and reviews with buyers

- High school diploma or GED required
- Must have retail Meat Department Management experience
- Must have knowledge of both Commodity (Beef, Pork, Chicken, Seafood) and Processed UPC’d (Meat Deli, Dairy/Cheese Deli, Deli, Bakery) fresh and frozen items
- Demonstrated aptitude for problem-solving; ability to determine solutions for customers
- Must be results-oriented and able to work both independently and within a team environment
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Some travel required, must have valid driver’s license
