The Blackhawk yacht is a 123’ steel hull, aluminum superstructure powered by two 920 H.P 12-cylinder Caterpillar engines and two 105 K.W. Caterpillar generators. It has 10,200-gallon diesel fuel capacity, a range of 4000 miles, and a top speed of 17 knots.
The pilot house is equipped with two radars and depth sounders, a Gyro compass, two chart plotters, auto pilot, VHF radios, and HDTV. Stationed on the boat deck is the fly bridge with dual controls and two 21’ Boston Whalers launches.
The 30’ Salon is located on the maid deck and leads out to an enclosed aft deck and fishing cockpit, forward of the Salon is a bar, a complete galley with dishwasher and freezer, and a large, formal dining room.
Guest accommodations, include four owner staterooms, seven complete baths and powder room. Below deck are the crews quarters which included three cabins and a separate galley with dishwasher.
About the position:
The First Mate aboard a yacht is required to have in depth knowledge of all bridge, navigation and deck procedures as well as the ability to teach the deck crew new repair and maintenance skills. This person will also have a thorough understanding of safety procedures as well as managerial skills, strong leadership of and communication with the crew. The first Mate is able to support the captain in every aspect of yacht management. This role necessitates at least five years of experience including positions as the First Mate or the captain of a smaller vessel and a minimum license of OOW unlimited.
