We partner with portfolio companies in industrial, business services, consumer, and manufacturing sectors, focusing on scaling businesses and maximizing value. As we continue to expand our portfolio, we are seeking a highly skilled and driven Vice President of Portfolio Operations to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute value creation plans for portfolio companies, focusing on operational improvements, revenue growth, and cost optimization.
- Work closely with portfolio company management teams to assess current operations, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement best practices.
- Lead strategic initiatives in areas such as supply chain optimization, sales effectiveness, pricing strategies, and organizational efficiency.
- Track and measure operational performance metrics across portfolio companies, ensuring accountability and continuous improvement.
- Serve as a key liaison between the private equity firm and portfolio company management, providing guidance and support on critical operational issues.
- Assist in executing M&A integration plans, supporting post-acquisition operational alignment and synergy realization.
- Identify and implement technology, process, and organizational improvements that drive efficiency and enhance portfolio company performance.
- Participate in board meetings, providing operational insight and recommendations for ongoing portfolio company success.
- Maintain flexibility to travel frequently, spending time on-site at portfolio companies across the U.S.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of operational leadership experience, ideally within private equity, management consulting, or corporate operational roles.
- Proven track record of improving operational performance and driving value creation within middle-market companies.
- Strong financial acumen and ability to understand complex business models, P&L, and balance sheets.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects.
- Ability to build strong relationships with portfolio company management teams and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
- High degree of flexibility and willingness to travel extensively to support portfolio companies.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- MBA or advanced degree preferred but not required.
