Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic Business Systems Analyst to join our team and support the successful implementation and optimization of business processes and systems. The ideal candidate will act as a liaison between the business units and IT, analyzing business needs, identifying solutions, and ensuring smooth delivery of technology-based solutions.
This role involves working closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze data, and recommend systems changes to improve efficiency, productivity, and business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to define and document business requirements, objectives, and processes for system enhancements.
- System Analysis: Analyze existing systems, workflows, and processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement. Provide recommendations for optimizing business processes.
- Solutions Design: Work with technical teams to design and implement system solutions that meet business requirements, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
- Testing & QA: Develop and execute testing plans to ensure new systems and changes meet business needs. Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) and resolve issues.
- Project Management: Assist in the planning, scheduling, and coordination of systems implementations and upgrades. Work within project timelines and budgets.
- Documentation: Create detailed documentation, including functional specifications, system workflows, user guides, and training materials.
- Training & Support: Provide training to end-users and support them during system implementations and post-deployment phases.
- Data Analysis: Analyze and interpret complex data to deliver insights that drive business decisions.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date on technology trends and best practices. Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or similar role, with a strong understanding of business systems and IT operations.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with business systems such as ERP, CRM, or other enterprise software. Experience with database management, SQL, and reporting tools.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail in interpreting complex business processes.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to interact with stakeholders across various levels of the organization.
- Project Management: Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and tools like Jira, Trello, or MS Project.
- Adaptability: Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud-based systems (e.g., Salesforce, Workday, SAP, Oracle).
- Certification in Business Analysis (CBAP, CCBA) or ITIL certification.
- Experience in data analytics and business intelligence (BI) tools like Power BI, Tableau, or similar. Quickbooks a plus.
