Power Market & Strategy Manager
Responsibilities
- The role will be fully involved in the sourcing, structuring, pricing, and negotiation of offtake products for companies development and operational assets
- Closely support other key business activities, including but not limited to M&A, raising debt and tax equity financing, and developing corporate strategy

- These efforts are critical for companies development and commercial strategies and will work closely with the Finance, Development, and Engineering teams to implement them
- The position reports to the Vice President of Markets
- Lead development and marketing of offtake products and strategies, working closely with internal resources and current and potential customers to support the companies development, M&A, and market development/expansion goals and initiatives
- Work closely with other members of the Markets team, Development, Finance, and Technical teams to develop, design, and execute on offtake and hedge products and strategies for operational and development assets
- Independently work closely with other stakeholders and teams to proactively identify business needs and develop strategies to address them
- Play a key role in integrating insights and data generated by in-house production cost model with originations and product design efforts as well as providing critical market feedback on forecast assumptions and accuracy
- Work with the Chief Revenue Officer and Vice President of Markets in developing offtake and other commercial strategies, including revenue forecasts, scenario analysis, and financial modelling
- Assist Regulatory Affairs with analysis and other work product on policy/regulatory changes to defend and expand the value of assets
- Research, develop, and produce presentations, analyses, and other work product to provide key insights and information to Board, shareholder, and other senior stakeholders within and without the business
Education and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, including engineering, computer science, finance, or economics
- At least 4 years of experience in roles with focuses on energy finance, corporate development, structured product origination, sales and trading, and asset optimization, quantitative analysis, deregulated power markets, and/or financial modelling required
- Extremely strong familiarity with and skills in MS Office suite (specifically Excel and PowerPoint) with particular emphasis on financial modelling and creation of presentations aimed at senior executives a must
- Strong project management and problem-solving skills a must
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
