P6 Scheduler
We are seeking a P6 Scheduler, with strong Primavera 6 experience to support one of our client companies.
This will primarily be a remote role, with some site duties. This role will collaborate with
Production Coordinators, Daily Planners, Mech & E&I Supervisors to develop Daily/Weekly and Project Schedules for all units. Also to liaise with Field Services, Equipment Coordinator and Scaffolding Contractor to develop daily schedules for support services.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Will Level/load and optimize manpower resources on Daily/Weekly Schedules as well as for projects as needed.
- Conducts Daily/Weekly Scheduling meetings to determine job selection for next day/week.
- Performs QA/QC on contractors’ schedule submittals for conformance with contract scope and terms.
- Updates schedule progress in accordance with processes and procedures.
- Works with Production Coordinator to schedule PMs and correctives on assets based on job readiness and asset availability.
- Closely monitors schedule performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and communicate deviations where applicable.
- Performs schedule evaluation and report findings, including critical path(s), longest path, milestone deviations and slippage analysis. Assists in developing recovery plans.
- Supports Schedule and Cost integration to incorporate schedule related data into cost management scopes of work providing single source of truth.
- Tracks scheduling KPI’s – scheduling backlog, PM compliance, schedule compliance, etc.
REQUIREMENTS
- MET, EEET/EET or equivalent Technician Diploma with at least 5 years’ experience in either electrical and instrumentation or mechanical maintenance in the petrochemical industry, including at least 2 years of previous planning or scheduling experience.
- Primavera P6 Certification.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
- Ability to work remotely, as well as travel to client site on an occasional basis.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
· Demonstrated communication skills to allow for successful face-to-face and virtual relationships.
· Ability to work with little supervision and support operational requirements as required.
· Ability to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
· Ability to travel to client site when necessary. Orion Plant Services will support with per diem and lodging when required.
· Interested and able to work on assignment for long-term (up to 15 months).
