Polytek® Development Corp. is a leading manufacturer of mold making and casting materials. Polytek® is currently looking for a highly motivated, experienced, and extremely organized individual to join our rapidly expanding company.
Essential Job Functions:
Major tasks and other key responsibilities include:
- Knowledgeable on current and proposed relevant environmental, health and safety, and hazardous materials transport regulations, such as those promulgated by EPA, CalOSHA, OSHA, DOT, IATA and IMDG; and ensure sites comply with all such regulations.
- Observe, train, adhere to and communicate Corporate EHS Policies to all locations in USA via new hire onboarding and annual training.
- Ensures that all new employees properly understand the importance of safety in the workplace.
- Participate in monthly safety committee meetings.
- Investigate incidents, injuries and potential safety risks in facility and implement recommendations for improvement.
- Communicate and administer Workers’ Compensation injury claims and provide all necessary documentation for investigations, including post-accident and incident investigations to identify root cause and to prevent similar incidents in the future.
- Document and maintain records for appropriate OSHA reporting.
- Establish Safety Key Performance Indicator (KPI) metrics and track accordingly.
- Report to EHS Department on the performance of the QMS (e.g., results of quality audits, corrective actions), including the need for improvement.
- Author GHS and WHMIS-compliant Safety Data Sheets and review company labels for GHS compliance.
- Maintain safety cabinet supplies and order items as necessary.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Must be able to sit at a desk for prolonged periods of time and work on a computer.
- Must be able to work in an office environment.
- Must be able to talk, hear and see with vision abilities including close/near, distance, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when entering manufacturing areas.
- Travel may include up to 20%.
Education and Experience:
- Must be able to understand, speak, write and read English.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Safety Management preferred.
- 1-5 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must have the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication, organizational, attention to detail, analytical, problem-solving and time management skills.
