POSITION OVERVIEW
We’re seeking a Parking Attendant to oversee activities that occur in the parking lot, such as leading guests to open spots, ensuring parking spaces are maximized, giving directions to motorists, patrolling the lot, and assisting with payment.
NOTE: THIS POSITION WILL SPEND THE MAJORITY OF TIME OUTDOORS
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure safe, hazard free, and clean parking environment.
- Maintain operation of parking lot and ensure guests get high quality service.
- Greet guests and provide information and direction as needed.
- Identify possible risks and resolve conflict where it arises.
- Carry out regular patrol of the parking area and issue notices of payment to customers for non-compliance to parking terms and conditions.
- Regularly clean parking lot to ensure it is tidy and organized, includes sweeping, wiping down surfaces and equipment, emptying trash, picking up trash, etc.
- Respond to reports concerning damage to equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Experience Required
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent preferred
- Prior experience working as parking attendant
Skills and Knowledge Required
- Strong communication skills, including ability to speak clearly and to relate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Excellent customer service skills
- Confident, reliable, punctual and proactive individual.
- Ability to effectively handle stressful situations and critical issues with good decision-making
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions for extended periods of time.
- Availability to work varied shifts, especially evenings (4-11), including weekends and holidays
- Ability to stand, sit or walk for extended periods including maneuvering up and down stairs
- Able be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
