A globally recognised international business law firm known for its excellence in quality, innovation, and teamwork, is seeking a talented Tax Associate to join their dynamic U.S. tax group in their New York office. This is an exciting opportunity to work on significant U.S. and cross-border corporate transactions while collaborating with top professionals across diverse practice areas including M&A, securities, real estate, and competition and foreign investment review.
Responsibilities:
- Advise institutional clients on complex U.S. and cross-border corporate transactions and business operations, with a focus on M&A.
- Conduct legal research, draft documents, and provide strategic advice on tax-related matters.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues across practice areas to ensure seamless service delivery and innovative solutions.
- Take primary responsibility for multiple files, managing them independently while ensuring high-quality outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. tax laws and provide guidance on tax-related risks and opportunities.
Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of experience in a U.S. law firm’s tax practice, with broad experience in U.S. and cross-border transactions, particularly M&A.
- Strong legal research, drafting, and writing skills, with excellent attention to detail.
- Superior client service orientation, demonstrating professionalism, dedication, and responsiveness.
- Demonstrable curiosity and passion for tax law, with a proactive approach to learning and problem-solving.
- Must be a member in good standing of the New York Bar.
