The role
Our company is on an upward trajectory and evolving rapidly. Though we are moving quickly we will not compromise on making decisions based on rigorous research. Therefore we are hiring our second researcher to help us to make optimal business and product decisions and evolve an impactful and maturing research team.
You will be responsible for…
- Gathering robust and actionable insights on how to improve the value of our various doctor badges to health and wellness shoppers — and, by extension, increase our health brand partners’ sales
- Designing (mainly) qualitative and (occasional) quantitative research studies using different methods and techniques to more deeply understand consumer trust and mistrust in healthcare, and how our badges can have greater positive impact
- Uncovering unmet needs while testing the viability of potential solutions, mainly through generative and evaluative research
- Collaborating on projects with designers, business strategists, product managers, program managers and engineers
You are/have
- A savvy, mixed-methods researcher that will champion the voice of our users, and is obsessed with understanding their pain points, the weaknesses of our existing solutions, and recommending critical improvements
- Highly organized and comfortable managing different work streams, including design, testing, presenting findings, iteration, and more, throughout a single sprint
- A XF team ninja with outstanding EQ, communication and presentation skills
- Thrive without micromanagement — you love independence and can self-motivate to meet and exceed expectations. And! You enjoy collaborating with other researchers to elevate their research practice.
- You’re ready to be scrappy at a fast-moving startup, working as a thought-partner to the Head of Design & CEO and the Head of Research
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a human behavior-related field such as Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Sociology, Information Science, or Computer Science
- 3-5 years experience in UXR at a startup or fast-paced team
- Experience at a healthcare company (moonshot: experience in e-commerce as well)
Preferred Qualifications
Basic Figma skills to create and iterate on prototypes
