Program Manager/Senior Program Manager
(Flexible hybrid model – Boston, San Diego, or San Francisco)
I am currently partnered with a global biotechnology company experiencing significant growth in their DNA synthesis division. We are seeking a Program Manager or Senior Program Manager to play a pivotal role in driving successful New Product Introductions and strategic business transformation initiatives, from concept through to launch. This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology, focusing on antibody-based programs. The role will report directly to the Senior Director of Program Management.
We are looking for a candidate with prior antibody experience (which does not need to be recent) and a blend of business development and benchwork expertise.
This role offers a flexible hybrid work model in one of the following locations: Boston, San Diego, or San Francisco.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead complex, high-visibility projects, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
- Provide strategic guidance to cross-functional teams, managing program risks and dependencies.
- Offer technical consultation to partners, ensuring success in antibody discovery campaigns, especially for challenging targets.
- Design and oversee antibody discovery campaigns using the industry-leading Berkeley Lights Beacon B cell screening platform.
- Collaborate on business development efforts, including early project design, discussions, and drafting Statements of Work (SoW).
- Maintain frequent communication with partners, offering technical support and troubleshooting.
- Coordinate closely with antibody scientists and the business development team.
- Manage project timelines, scheduling, and deliverables using Smartsheets.
- Ensure data quality control, reporting, and analysis for presentations.
- Collaborate with Finance to streamline invoicing processes for biopharma customers.
- Support Finance in managing payments for invoiced milestones.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant scientific or technical field.
- At least 12 years of program/project management experience in the Life Sciences/Biotech industry.
- Antibody and in-vivo experience is essential.
- Proficiency in both Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies; PMP certification is preferred.
- Moderate to advanced knowledge of biologics characterization assays (e.g., SPR/BLI affinity ranking, ELISA, FACS) and functional assays (e.g., epitope binning, neutralization screening).
