Description:
The Franchise Operations Coach is responsible for managing and coaching our franchise partners and their management teams to operate their restaurants in coordination with CRISP & GREEN’s company goals, branding and compliance. The FOC will support the success of franchise operations by conducting physical restaurant evaluations and performing restaurant operational assessments to streamline deviations from standard company practices. Through routine site visits and frequent communication, the FOC will develop and maintain a comprehensive, holistic understanding of internal and external factors of success - including new restaurant openings, training initiatives, market testing, limited time offering training, facility/equipment assessments and more.
Key responsibilities and duties:
- Seek every opportunity to encourage operational excellence
- Applaud operational excellence with awards and recognition
- Review KPIs to identify strengths and weaknesses; coach on operational best practices.
- Review operational dashboards for the market to better understand opportunities for each store and recommend best strategies to reach strategic goals
- Foster effective relationships with franchisees and their management teams in a manner that minimizes joint employer liability
- Consult with franchisees on maintaining operational excellence and maximizing sales growth
- Work with franchisees and their management teams on timely resolutions of compliance issues and foster culture of accountability
- Coordinates with training team on field training initiatives
- Assist with new store setup and organization, staff training, and grand opening procedures as needed
- Maintain responsibility for financial performance of all stores in portfolio
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with all stakeholders (corporate team, franchisees, and vendors) and leverage those relationships to yield positive business outcomes
- Routine need to shift priorities among simultaneous projects, while upholding quality and sense of urgency, and overall positive attitude
- Ensures compliance within C&G brand by monitoring, advising and training when necessary
- Reinforce brand standards and quality standards based on in-store observations
- Protects, promotes, and live the CRISP & GREEN brand
Other qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of QSR multi-unit management experience
- Experience working with franchisees or in a franchised organization is preferred
- Knowledge of franchise principles and business operations
- Keen understanding of Joint Employer Rule under the Fair Labor Standards Act
- Strong business acumen
- Demonstrated experience in influencing without authority
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced environment
- Analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- ServSafe or similar certification a plus
- Ability to travel minimum 50% of the time
