Who we are looking for:
Slate is looking for an energetic, organized, experienced Facilities Manager to join our growing team. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Facilities Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the planning, design, construction, and maintenance of our facilities. The Facilities Manager will play a key role in ensuring that our facilities meet safety, regulatory, and operational standards while implementing cost-effective solutions.

- Plan, design, and oversee construction and maintenance of facilities projects in alignment with the corporate objectives.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement facility projects in alignment with the corporate objectives.
- Manage facility improvement from conceptualization to completion.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance and repair needs and coordinate necessary actions.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for critical systems and equipment.
- Manage facility budgets, ensuring optimization of costs for maintenance and improvement projects.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to facilities.
- Oversee security systems and protocols to safeguard the facility, with consideration for the security requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address facility-related needs and requirements.
- Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers.
- Implement energy conservation initiatives and sustainable practices.
- Develop and maintain facility documentation, including blueprints, manuals, and records.
What you bring to the team:
- Bachelor’s degree in Facility Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (Professional Engineer (PE) license and advance degree is a plus).
- Proven experience as a Facility Engineer or in a similar role, with a track record of successfully supporting automotive vehicle launches.
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing continuous improvement, facility management principles and best practices.
- Experience in project management, including planning, budgeting, and execution.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot and address facility-related issues promptly.
- Knowledge of energy conservation practices and sustainability initiatives.
- Experience with facilities in automotive manufacturing or similar industrial settings.
- Certification in Facility Management (CFM) is a plus.
