Our client is an established and reputable commercial construction management firm in the New Haven area. The Project Manager will be responsible for managing construction projects ranging in the $500K to $5M range.
Responsibilities
- Ability to successfully manage large scale projects and/or multiple projects simultaneously
- Build strong relationships with clients/owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors
- Maintain a positive image of the company with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and team members
- Develop and maintain job schedule for the project
- Implement and manage project assignments for personnel
- Partner with Preconstruction Services regarding value engineering/constructability, soliciting bidders, estimating assistance, and generating proposals
Qualifications
- Flexible detailed-oriented enthusiastic self-starter that is a team player with excellent communication, managerial and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Project Planning, Cost Management, Time Management, Quality Management, Contract Administration, and Safety Management.
- The ability to interpret architectural plans and specifications.
- Qualified experience in the Higher Education, Health Care and Retail markets are preferred.
- Positions will require scheduling, purchasing, estimating, as well as management of personnel, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Candidates will be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Microsoft Project. Sage Project Management Software experience is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in an accredited construction related curriculum preferred.
- Minimum 7 years experience in Commercial Construction.
