As Henderson Fab grows in the coming years we are pursuing projects with higher tonnage and contract values. To meet this demand, we are seeking an individual with a proven track record of handling Structural Steel projects. Qualified candidates will have experience managing multiple high-level projects. Henderson Fab has a Senior Project Manager position available for qualified individuals. This is a full-time position with a schedule of Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm (some overtime or Saturdays may be required during higher-than-average workloads). You will report to 2624 Ivory Road Loganville, GA 30052 with occasional travel required for onsite project visits (access to a company truck for site visits). Salary is dispersed on a weekly basis. Enrollment in Henderson Fabs 401k will be available after 180 days and currently Henderson Fab has a 3% match. Paid Holidays include New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. 2 Weeks paid vacation will be available after 90 days. Unused paid vacation hours can either be utilized or paid out at the end of the year. 40 Hours sick time is available to employees after the first year (which can be utilized for any doctors’ appointments or sick time). Responsibilities (to include but not limited to):
Project Planning and Initiation:
- Lead the initial project scoping, budgeting, and scheduling activities.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, outlining key milestones, deliverables, and resource requirements.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop risk management plans to mitigate project uncertainties.
Client Communication and Relationship Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct regular meetings with clients to discuss project progress, address concerns, and ensure alignment with expectations.
- Cultivate strong client relationships to foster trust and satisfaction.
Team Leadership and Management:
- Lead a multidisciplinary project team, including engineers, fabricators, subcontractors, and support staff.
- Provide clear direction, guidance, and support to team members to ensure project objectives are met.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture that encourages innovation and continuous improvement.
Project Execution and Monitoring:
- Oversee the execution of project plans, ensuring adherence to schedule, budget, and quality standards.
- Monitor project progress closely, identifying and addressing any deviations or risks promptly.
- Implement effective project tracking and reporting mechanisms to keep stakeholders informed of progress and performance.
Resource Management and Allocation:
- Manage project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to optimize efficiency and productivity.
- Allocate resources effectively to meet project deadlines and milestones while minimizing costs and waste.
- Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely availability of required materials and supplies.
Quality Assurance and Control:
- Establish and enforce quality control processes to ensure fabricated steel components meet project specifications and industry standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to verify compliance with quality requirements and identify areas for improvement.
- Implement corrective actions as necessary to address quality issues and prevent reoccurrence.
Contract Management and Compliance:
- Review and negotiate project contracts, ensuring terms and conditions are favorable and aligned with company policies and objectives.
- Monitor contract performance and compliance throughout the project lifecycle, resolving any disputes or discrepancies that arise.
- Ensure adherence to relevant regulations, codes, and safety standards governing structural steel fabrication projects.
Change Management and Scope Control:
- Manage project scope effectively, assessing change requests and evaluating their impact on schedule, budget, and resource requirements.
- Facilitate change control processes, documenting approved changes and communicating them to relevant stakeholders.
- Minimize scope creep and scope-related risks through proactive management and stakeholder engagement.
Financial Management and Budget Oversight:
- Develop project budgets and forecasts, tracking expenditures and revenue to ensure financial objectives are met.
- Monitor project costs and expenses, identifying variances and implementing cost-saving measures where possible.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for internal management and external stakeholders.
Continuous Improvement and Lessons Learned:
- Facilitate post-project reviews and lessons learned sessions to identify successes, challenges, and areas for improvement.
- Implement recommendations and best practices from lessons learned to enhance project management processes and outcomes.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and knowledge sharing within the project team and across the organization.
