On behalf of a multi-site/multi-state Charter School Management company we seek a Florida based candidate for the following full-time role. Please note this role includes travel in FL mostly in addition to GA and NC April through September 60% of the time:
Director of Training & Professional Development (Florida based, possibly Southeast based)
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Training & Support
•Design and implement comprehensive training programs for all staff levels (to include training materials, project plans, and participant guides)
•Develop blended learning solutions (in-person, virtual, self-paced)
•Create personalized development plans
•Conduct regular training effectiveness reviews and staff skill assessments
•Implement mentoring and coaching programs for continuous improvement
•Coordinate training for new school activations, ensuring a smooth start-up
•Oversee comprehensive onboarding for new hires, aligning with organizational goals
Strategic Planning
•Align training initiatives with Charter School Management Company's strategic objectives
•Collaborate with leadership to forecast future skill requirements and training needs and adjust strategies to meet future growth
•Engage with districts, organizations, and vendors to incorporate best practices
•Align training programs with software development to meet educational goals
•Collaborate with Ed Platforms team to develop digital learning content
•Manage training budget and resources and communicate future needs during annual planning process
Program Service Model
•Analyze and refine training programs to align with organizational goals.
•Develop scalable professional development solutions, backed by research.
•Integrate feedback loops to continuously improve training delivery.
•Maintain up-to-date knowledge on training methodologies and tools.
• Ensure compliance with educational standards and regulations
•Collaborate closely with the Director of Service Model to ensure all training and professional development practices are accurately documented and regularly updated within the organization’s service model framework
Evaluation & Improvement
•Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) for training effectiveness
•Conduct regular program evaluations and implement improvements
•Analyze training impact on student outcomes and school performance
•Stay updated on latest educational research and best practices
• Prepare and present performance reports to senior management
Experience:
•Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related field; Master's Degree in Education with a focus on curriculum design preferred.
•Minimum 5 years of experience in the training and professional development field, with a strong understanding of instructional design principles and training evaluation methods.
•At least 3 years of classroom teaching experience, demonstrating effective student engagement and instructional strategies.
•Proven experience in instructional design using various methodologies, including blended learning and digital platforms.
•Experience managing professional development programs, focusing on continuous improvement and impact measurement.
Knowledge & Skills:
•Deep understanding of effective training practices in K-12 education.
•Proficiency in project management, including planning, budgeting, and managing training initiatives from start to finish.
•Expertise in blended learning pedagogy and innovative teaching strategies.
•Ability to use data analytics to assess training outcomes and make data-driven improvements.
•Skilled in delivering engaging and effective presentations to diverse audiences.
•Willingness and ability for day and overnight travel to multiple school sites as needed.
•Strong independent work skills with minimal supervision required.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•Proven ability to work effectively in teams with strong interpersonal skills.
•Mastery of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and familiarity with digital learning platforms.

•Demonstrated experience in collaborating with teams to implement professional development initiatives in middle and high school settings.
•A self-starter with a proactive approach to challenges and a drive to achieve results.
•Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, necessary for working effectively with teachers, operational staff, and administrators in a dynamic, fast-paced educational environment.

Other:
*The role involves heavy travel to multiple school locations in FL, GA, NC and other states during the April through September timeframe each year. Candidates must have the ability and willingness to travel during such times.
*Candidate can work in the Florida headquarters, remotely from with in Central and South Florida, or possibly other locations in GA, NC/Southeastern US.
*Ideal candidates for the role will have education experience as described above but for strong candidates with extensive relevant training and professional development in other industries, the hiring team is willing to make exceptions.
