Project Origination Manager

A global leader in smart energy solutions, is seeking a Project Origination Manager to join their U.S. Project Development & Investment team. This role focuses on utility-scale Solar and Battery projects in the Eastern Region and reports to the Regional Head of Utility Origination.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop utility-scale solar and battery project opportunities.
- Lead site control, feasibility evaluations, and project interconnection assessments.
- Identify and negotiate with early-stage developers, manage partnerships, and structure project deals.
- Utilize GIS tools to identify prime project sites.
- Prospect and secure greenfield and brownfield sites through land agreements.
- Conduct market research, regulatory analysis, and form development strategies.
- Support financial modeling and cross-functional coordination with Legal, Engineering, Finance, and Project Management teams.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in Energy Project Development or Business Development.
- Proven track record in negotiating commercial transactions.
- Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or relevant master's preferred.
- Knowledge of the solar industry and regional regulations.
- Experience with RTOs, utilities, and multinational environments is a plus.
