This is an exciting opportunity to join an innovative EV charging company as the Head of Construction. You will play a critical role in the buildout of DC Fast Charging (DCFC) infrastructure and help accelerate the EV transition. We are looking for a leader with substantial experience in EV charging installation, construction, and managing large-scale projects.
As the Head of Construction, you will be responsible for overseeing active DCFC projects across the Northeast, ensuring successful and timely project delivery, coordination with subcontractors, and adherence to regulatory standards.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee all DCFC construction projects from site evaluation to completion.
• Manage subcontractors and general contractors, ensuring project timelines, budgets, and quality control.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams (engineering, operations) to ensure installations meet technical and safety standards.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Lead troubleshooting for on-site issues, managing concurrent projects through site planning, permitting, and construction phases.
• Report to senior management on project progress, ensuring alignment with business goals and scalability.
Qualifications:
• Must have 2-3 years of experience in EV charging and 5-7 years in construction.
• Experience with DCFC Level 3 fast charging (Level 2 is the minimum requirement).
• Ability to oversee and run entire projects, coordinating with teams across multiple functions.
• Familiarity with the complexity of DC fast charging systems and general contracting.
• Willing to travel weekly to New York City (1-2 days per week).
