The Quality Engineer plays a pivotal role in ensuring product quality and compliance throughout various stages, including new product introductions (NPI), production, and customer-facing activities. This position leads initiatives for continuous improvement and supports the overall quality management system, ensuring that all products meet customer and regulatory requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Verify product conformance by gathering information from engineering specifications and work instructions.
- Ensure documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with ISO standards.
- Maintain effective communication with internal teams and external partners to facilitate problem-solving.
- Prepare and conduct customer-specific quality presentations, both virtually and on-site.
- Promote continuous improvement and Lean principles across the organization.
- Develop and execute quality control protocols and guidelines.
- Perform inspections and approvals in line with manufacturing specifications and performance requirements.
- Collaborate with suppliers and internal resources to address nonconformance's and implement corrective actions.
- Conduct internal audits of procedures as required.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical, business, engineering, or management field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 3 years in a quality role, or 8 years of related experience.
- Familiarity with a variety of industry concepts, practices, and procedures.
Other Requirements:
- 5 years of experience as a quality professional supporting both military and non-military customers is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and experience with ERP and statistical analysis tools.
- Knowledge of materials, components, and methods used in electronic systems, including printed circuit board assemblies, is highly desirable.
- Proficient in RCCA, PFMEA, CAPA, and Quality Management Systems (QMS).
- Familiarity with Six Sigma and Lean methodologies is preferred.

- Must have the legal right to work in the United States.
Language Skills:
- Ability to read and analyze customer specifications, scientific and technical documents, and legal reports.
- Capable of communicating effectively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
Mathematical Skills:
- Proficient in applying advanced mathematical concepts and performing statistical analyses relevant to quality control.
Reasoning Ability:
- Strong analytical skills to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- ASQ CQE or CQM Certification is preferred, but not required.
Physical Demands:
- Regularly required to talk, hear, stand, walk, and use hands for various tasks.
- Ability to lift/move up to 20 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
