I am working with a non-profit organization in the education space, looking for a Chief of Staff to the Founder.
The Founder, in partnership with the Co-CEO, drives initiatives that focus on statewide public awareness, collaboration to support at-risk youth, and on signature projects like the Connecticut RISE Network and the Connecticut Opportunity Project, both aimed at empowering young people in Connecticut.
Position Overview:
I am looking for a highly skilled Chief of Staff who is a consummate professional in assisting the Founder in continued vision aligned work, providing oversight and support in a wide range of initiatives and partnerships.
The ideal candidate will have strong social-emotional intelligence, reliability, and the ability to handle complex situations with discretion and professionalism. This role demands a proactive approach to problem-solving and a keen ability to work across diverse teams and stakeholders.
Reporting Structure:
The Chief of Staff reports directly to the Founder, providing comprehensive support in her role as Co-CEO, and serves as a key liaison across various teams and initiatives.

Qualifications:
Education:
- Master’s degree or MBA from an accredited higher education institution required
Mission Alignment and Strategic Insight:
- Strong alignment with the mission of the organization and a demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, an education background in CT or a Youth Serving Organization background is a must
- Experience Supporting and Representing a Senior Leader:
- 5+ years as COS to CEO or founder, with a proven ability to support their strategic goals and represent their interests effectively.
- At least two years of experience in an education-related mission driven, or philanthropic environment.
- Experience in collaboration on complex projects and ensuring alignment with organizational goals in a dynamic and evolving environment.
- Experience within the education and non-profit sector is preferred but not required.
Cultural Competency and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Demonstrated ability to work across diverse populations and build strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Familiarity with Connecticut-based stakeholders and the population
- Ability to enhance their role in line with the needs of the founder
- Act as leverage to the founder on a variety of diverse initiatives
Technical Proficiencies:
- Mac, MS Outlook & MS suite, Google docs, Adobe, Salesforce, Concur, Dropbox and cloud-based filesystems
