Job Description:
Our client located in Springfield, MA area has an immediate opening for a Change Manager to join their team in a hybrid remote capacity. The Change Manager will serve as a constant for all changes within IT and help drive the development and adoption of change frameworks and best practices when it comes to the organizational and human capital implications of change- assessing and scoping resources to ensure the right talent at the right time for all upcoming changes on the IT roadmap. This individual will have a depth and breadth of change management
principles and their application as they apply to the holistic portfolio of projects and other change initiatives
within the IT organization.
Responsibilities
- Assess the scope and impact of changes introduced because of adopting new technologies, plan and facilitate change management across the IT organization.
- Leverage the IT strategic plan and vision to create a roadmap for how to get there.
To accomplish this, the Consultant will:
1. Support change impact assessments across projects and teams (what is working well, what efficiencies
could be gained, what additional resources are needed, what interdependencies exist across work efforts).
2. Develop communication and training plans to support upskilling for cloud and other technology across
all groups as needed.
3. Advise and support IT and project teams in learning and applying change management framework and
practice.
- Fully understand the scope and vision of cloud modernization initiative, identify all impacted stakeholders (In IT and across business), assess how they will be impacted in terms of their day-to-day operations, what will be new and different compared to current state when using legacy technologies etc.
- In support of PMO efforts, manage and execute activities and plan recommendations for multiple, concurrent IT projects and programs, ensuring alignment with IT project objectives, scope, and schedule and provide support to project manager as needed.
- In partnership with internal HR Business Partner and ELOD group, assess how the IT org is structured with the roles and responsibilities of various resources supporting current state IT operations for in-scope applications, how those roles and responsibilities may need to evolve to support the new cloud-native technology stack, scope out learning and training needs and collaborate with IT leaders to assess resources against projected needs.
- In alignment with PMO established schedules as appropriate, develop and implement communication, engagement, adoption strategies, and tactics for IT projects and programs, enabling stakeholder and end user engagement and commitment.
- Collaborate with Cloud FinOps Analyst to understand what is measured, tracked, and managed under FinOps and calibrate practices and processes between the IT and Finance organization.
- Work with PMO vendors to do major tech initiatives to embed change management in their technical projects.
- Look across all cloud and other technology transformation projects to identify points of intersection, provide guidance on change management strategies to ensure appropriate resourcing, and define a roadmap to execute all recommendations in a systemic and sequenced manner. Identify and escalate risks and issues to the project manager or other responsible parties.
- Assist in creating and implementing a Change Management framework, methodology, and tools for the IT services organization including designing and delivering training and coaching for IT professionals on understanding end user impacts around IT changes.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness and outcomes of Change interventions, providing feedback and recommendations for improvement
Required
- Bachelor’s degree
- Cloud modernization transformation initiatives and change management strategy across a technology division.
- 10+ years of experience working in change management and/or transformation programs in the energy, healthcare, high-tech, or another highly regulated industry.
- Deep experience in applying change management methodologies & tools.
- Experience leading change for complex and large-scale business change initiatives.
- Experience guiding culture and behavioral change.
- Experience with UX and business process design.
- Experience developing and delivering executive-level messaging and presentations.
- Certification in at least one change methodology (CCMP, Prosci, etc.)—highly preferred.
- Strong written & verbal communication skills to articulate sophisticated problems in a simplified way
