About the Position
Stelvio Group have an exciting opportunity for a Principal Machine Learning Engineer to join our client in Austin, TX. This role offers the chance to join a multi-award-winning company recognized as one of the best places to work in Austin!
As a vital team member, you'll contribute significantly across various fronts spanning from data extraction, transformation, ETLs to modeling, model deployment, and test reporting. This unique opportunity will expose you to deep understandings of both the technological and business landscapes.
On a day-to-day basis, expect roughly 20% of your time to be on data science modelling, 20% on the serving/inference layer, and the rest will be around data cleaning, ETL, and analytics.
As a Principal Machine Learning Scientist, you will be highly qualified in:
- Machine learning – Excellent intuitive understanding of statistics, extensive experience building models using various methodologies. Experience in Natural Language Model is preferred.
- Big Data processing – Apache Spark is the key to the data pipelines that create their insights. Understanding SQL is a must in this environment. For maximum performance, our client utilizes Scala.
- Most importantly, the ideal candidate will have the initiative and ability to quickly learn and apply the above. Top of Form
Requirements:
- To be considered candidates must live in in the greater Austin metropolitan area or be able to relocate to Austin (Relocation Reimbursement is available).
- A bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Math, Physics or Statistics.
- A minimum of 5 years work experience in machine learning, data science, or data engineering.
- At least 10 years of work experience in computer programming along with exceptional proven results.
