Summary
Administers anesthetic care for the purpose of facilitating diagnostic, therapeutic and surgical procedures.
Responsibilities

Performs and documents a pre-anesthetic assessment and evaluation of the patient.

Develops and implements an anesthetic plan of care, including monitoring modalities and post-anesthesia follow-up evaluation and care.

Selects, obtains and administers the anesthetic plan of care, including induction, maintenance and emergence phase anesthesia.
Education
Required: Graduation from an accredited School of anesthesia approved by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists.
Experience
Required: Must have 2 years of clinical experience working in a physician office
Certifications
Required: Certification by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists. Valid Nursing License or compact state license and ability to become Licensed in applicable state within 30 days. Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), PALS and NRP (perinatal trust requirement).
