LHH Recruitment Solutions seeks a Legal Administrative Assistant (Commercial Litigation) in Potomac, MD. The Legal Administrative Assistant will be responsible for providing administrative support to the commercial litigation practice group. This opportunity is full time, direct hire, and fully in office.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to attorneys specializing in complex commercial litigation
- Type and proofread legal documents
- Manage and organize case files, ensuring all relevant documents are properly filed and easily accessible; maintain digital and physical files
- Coordinate with clients, court personnel, and other parties involved in litigation
- Handle e-filing and service of court documents in both state and federal courts in Maryland, DC and Virginia
- Maintain attorney calendars, deadlines, litigation dates and reminders; schedule and coordinate meetings, depositions, hearings, and other appointments
- Set up and maintain digital and physical pleading binders
- Generally assist attorneys as needed with secretarial and administrative support
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of secretarial or administrative support in a commercial litigation department/practice area
- Knowledge of legal procedures, terminology, and court rules related to litigation
- E-filing of pleadings in both state and federal courts in Maryland, DC and Virginia
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (expertise in Microsoft Word), iManage, and able to effectively use other litigation software
- Typing proficiency
Salary range of $65K-$85K
