REQUIREMENTS: Seeking a highly skilled, technical, solutions-oriented Quality Systems Supervisor to join the Quality team. Responsible for enthusiastically leading, supporting and contributing to the Quality program and tools. The selected individual will have exp. in managing cross-functionally and possess a broad knowledge of manufacturing, and quality landscape. The candidate must be a high-energy, hands-on individual with strength of convictions, a self-confident leader who, in part due to his/her personal presence, can effectively sell ideas and solutions to others. Works closely with members of the management team to ensure the system supports overall company goals and drives sustainable improvement.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Draft quality assurance policies and procedures, interpret and implement quality assurance standards.
- Evaluate adequacy of quality assurance standards, devise sampling procedures and directions for recording and reporting quality data.
- Review the implementation and efficiency of quality and inspection systems.
- Plan, conduct and monitor testing and inspection of materials and products to ensure finished product quality.
- Document internal audits and other quality assurance activities and investigate customer complaints and non-conformance issues.
- Collect and compile statistical quality data while analyzing data to identify areas for improvement in the quality system.
- Develop, recommend and monitor corrective and preventive actions; and prepare reports to communicate outcomes of quality activities.
- Identify training needs and organize training interventions to meet quality standards and support on-site audits conducted by external providers.
- Evaluate audit findings, implement appropriate corrective actions, direct supervision of Final Inspection, Shipping and Audit.
- Responsible for implementation of document management systems and assuring ongoing compliance with quality and industry standards.
- Monitor and review calibration recall activities while responsible for adherence to all safety policies, practices and procedures.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills required to support and assist the technicians.
- Possess and understand technical drawings, the process of using tools to accurately measure dimensions, angles, distances, and level to create a well-planned and properly aligned structure "Technical layout measurements".
- Ability to work overtime with Attendance/Reliability.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college and/or university; or one-to-two-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3 - 5 years of work exp. in a technical field with familiarity with the aerospace casting industry and related processes is desirable.
- Knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing plus comprehensive knowledge of quality, Technical Layout Measurements, and Quality Systems, such as AS9100, is necessary.
- Strong knowledge of standards and core auditing tools plus basic Quality Management concepts.
- Excellent communication skills, communicate effectively, verbally and through written reports.
- Ability to work with multiple levels of personnel and with multiple departments within the organization.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint and Program Management skills.
- Demonstrated problem solving, root cause analysis, strong GD&T knowledge and inspection skills.
Meet ITAR requirements: US Citizen or Permanent Resident Card (to be considered for the position).
Bilingual Preferable: English/Spanish speaker to effectively communicate with the team members.
