Russell Tobin has partnered with a leading specialty chemical manufacturer in the Inglewood, CA area on a Maintenance Supervisor opportunity. As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will oversee all aspects of the department, including managing manufacturing assets, building and grounds upkeep, preventative maintenance and reliability programs, and parts and supplies inventory. The position serves as the site leader for safety at the facility.
This is a contract role with an expected length of 3-4 months, with potential to extend beyond that timeframe (including potential to become permanent). Expected pay rate is $35-$45/hour (plus overtime).
Major Areas of Accountability:
- Maintain Assets: Oversee the upkeep of process equipment, boilers, heaters, compressors, mixers, and maintain inventory of critical spare parts and consumable supplies.
- Lead Maintenance Programs: Focus on preventative and predictive maintenance to enhance reliability.
- Develop Procedures: Establish and update maintenance-related procedures and work instructions.
- Develop Team Skills: Conduct training sessions, coaching, and facilitate outside technical training to enhance team skills. Monitor staff performance and continuous development.
- Support Capital Projects: Assist in developing projects that improve safety and equipment reliability.
- Compliance: Aid in compliance with ISO9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 standards.
Experience:
- At least five years of supervisory experience in an industrial environment.
- Minimum five years working with mechanical repair/troubleshooting.
- Preferred experience in chemical batch manufacturing.
- Experience with Safety Management or OSHA 1910.119 is a plus.
