Job Responsibilities:
- Support business leaders in addressing people-related challenges and assist in key HR processes such as performance management, headcount tracking, and HR reporting for management reviews.
- Work closely with vendors to manage payroll and employee lifecycle tasks, including on/off-boarding, employment contracts, leave management, and benefits administration.
- Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, with a strong understanding of payroll systems and compliance requirements, particularly in California.
- Assist in maintaining HR operations and processes, ensuring compliance with California labor laws and company policies.
- Provide support in HR compliance and operational matters, and collaborate with the team on local HR projects and initiatives.
- Participate in ad-hoc HR tasks and contribute to the smooth running of day-to-day HR operations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience in HR, with a strong focus on HR operations and payroll.
- Familiarity with California labor laws and compliance requirements is essential.
- Experience in payroll processing and working with payroll vendors.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Self-motivated, hands-on, and passionate about driving HR initiatives that support business growth.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across the organization.
