Summary: The VP of Operations will oversee the daily operations of our BTO manufacturing facility. This role is critical to ensuring that our plant and processes are highly efficient, cost-effective, and aligned with our quality standards and business goals. The VP of Operations will be responsible for overseeing the company's daily operations, driving operational efficiency, and ensuring the effective management of resources. This role requires a strategic leader who can balance high-level planning with hands-on management to achieve organizational goals and maintain high standards of performance and is customer focused.
Duties to include (not limited to):
Strategic Planning and Execution:
Collaborate with senior leadership to align operational plans with the company’s strategic objectives.
Develop and implement operational strategies to achieve production goals and improve efficiency.
Develop technology roadmap for automation and expansion in accordance to business unit strategy
Develop annual productivity diagonals and KPIs to measure execution
Analyze market trends and customer requirements to forecast production needs and adjust strategies accordingly.
Production Management:
Oversee all aspects of production operations including scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow management.
Ensure that production processes meet quality standards, safety regulations, and delivery deadlines.
Implement and maintain effective, SMART Quality measurement systems with KPI to guarantee product excellence.
Drive high degree of continuous improvement to improve factory efficiencies year over year
Team Leadership:
Lead, mentor, and manage the production and engineering team
Foster a positive and productive work environment through effective communication and leadership.
Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and facilitate professional development opportunities for team members.
Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement sustainable best practices to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs and track via KPI
Utilize data-driven approaches to analyze operational performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Budget and Resource Management:
Oversee Capital projects from planning phase to implementation
Develop and manage the operational budget, ensuring cost control and resource optimization.
Manage P&L and implement methods to measure and improve material, labor and freight productivity.
Safety and Compliance:
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, environmental standards, and industry best practices.
Conduct regular audits and inspections to maintain a safe and compliant workplace.
Customer and Vendor Relations:
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal customers and suppliers to ensure satisfaction and resolve issues. Lead scale up efforts of new innovation being commercialized.
Collaborate with the supply chain, product management, sale, and customer service teams to address customer requirements and feedback.
The VP of Operations will possess and/or demonstrate the ability to:
Proven track record of successfully managing production operations and leading teams.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, and supply chain management, automation and procurement.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to analyze data, make informed decisions, and drive process improvements.
Familiarity with industry regulations, safety standards, and best practices.
High degree of ownership and accountability driven behaviors
Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field. Master’s degree or MBA preferred. Master Black Belt preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in operations management, continuous improvement or supply chain preferably in a BTO manufacturing environment.

Working Demands/Requirements:
Flexibility to support all positions within the business unit
Travel up to 50%
