Our client, a prominent player in the supply chain industry, is known for delivering high-quality distribution and fulfillment services for major brands. We're searching for a Purchasing/Procurement Specialist to help drive success in this fast-paced, innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and procure inventory to meet customer needs, ensuring optimal cost, quality, and delivery.
- Oversee vendor relationships, negotiating agreements and ensuring all terms are met.
- Review product performance and turnover rates to identify areas for improvement.
- Partner with sales to implement vendor programs that enhance margins and profitability.
- Monitor stock levels and process orders for designated suppliers.
- Use sales insights to develop strategies for slow-moving inventory.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related discipline.
- Experience in procurement or purchasing, particularly in distribution or retail.
- Expertise in negotiating and analyzing data.
- Proficiency in Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to manage tasks independently.
- Ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-moving environment.
