CHB is looking for an energetic, self-motivated individual who is seeking a demanding professional environment in the equipment finance industry balanced with a quality home atmosphere during off-duty. This entry-level loan officer position helps CHB finance transportation, construction, agricultural, and aviation equipment across the USA from its offices in beautiful and rural southeast Wyoming. This a full-time (40 hours weekly), benefited position for a bank-owned company with 29 years lending experience.
Responsibilities
a. Work closely with third party originators/brokers to review, underwrite and decision new credit requests
b. Attend to the needs of present and potential customers seeking equipment financing
c. Interview applicants to determine whether a request is an acceptable risk within established lending policy, procedures and guidelines
d. Make recommendations to Loan Committee for credit request ‘Approvals’ if above assigned lending authority
e. Communicate and record loan transactions and other matters involving present or prospective customers
f. Prepare and/or complete loan paperwork to help sell/finance Company Owned Assets (COA) as needed
g. Call and email potential and existing brokers and borrowers as assigned and paired
h. Produce funded NBV which contributes to CHB's portfolio per CHB and corporate quality standards
i. Maintain/use credit analysis skills to read, understand and analyze cash flow, financial statements, and budgets; make sound lending recommendations/decisions using available tools
j. All other duties of equal or lesser responsibility as assigned.
Qualifications
a. Bachelor degree from accredited college/university, preferably in business, finance, or accounting; or equivalency of 18 months full-time work experience in sales, lending, brokering, banking, or finance business related position
2. General knowledge of construction, agricultural and/or transportation equipment and over the road truck and industrial machinery…or willingness to learn
3. Comprehension and application of credit analysis
4. Effective verbal and written communication skills (including telephonic)
5. Efficient keyboarding and computer use skills
6. Demonstrated aptitude to handle sensitive operational transactions and customer relationships
7. Professional dress and appearance per established standards
8. Demonstrated interpersonal rapport and skills with brokers, applicants, borrowers and co-workers
9. Areas of general competency: decision-making, dependability, development, environmental safety, evaluation skills, prioritizing, problem-solving, selling COA items, teamwork, and effective time management
10. Maintain privacy of customer data and confidentiality of CHB data and sensitive information
